THE ROSE

Andolini used to cross the Golden Head Park every day to go home. This green park was his haven of peace and allowed him to relax after a long day of work. On that day, while walking in the main driveway, he noticed a young man busy cutting the roses of the main rose garden. Andolini, who was a great gardener, approached the young man to ask him his opinion on the roses he had spotted in the greenhouse. The young man, who answered Flo's name, explained that the roses were still young and that they needed time to reach their full maturity. Andolini had a little idea about the treatment to be given to "Flo". He then maintained to the young man that he was convinced that these roses were ahead of their season. Their lively discussion allowed Andolini to get the full attention of Flo and at that precise moment took advantage of it to let appear his big package. Andolini assured of Flo's interest in his package in view of his very tender behaviour, Andolini proposed to Flo to come and see the roses he cultivated on his balcony, only a few meters from the park. Flo enthusiastically accepted, curious to see the varieties that Andolini possessed and with the unfavorable hope of being able to taste the piece of Andolini. They left the greenhouse and headed towards Andolini's apartment. Upon arriving home, Andolini proudly showed Flo his roses. He was impressed by the variety of colours and shapes of these flowers. Andolini explained to Flo the techniques he used to cultivate his roses and showed him how to maintain them so that they would stay healthy. During the explanation Andolini intentionally slipped off to make Flo capsize who could not hold back for a second before finishing 4 legs in front of Andolini....
