A car slowly pulls up and stops behind a long line of other vehicles waiting to cross the US border from Mexico. As a vendor weaves in and around the parked cars, a hetero couple sit and wait for their turn to cross. Cindy (Jenna Foxx), a vibrant all-american college student, has just taken her boyfriend, Matthew (Jack Hunter), on a surprise trip to Mexico for his birthday. They reminisce about their long weekend and how this point of entry was supposed to be the faster route home when a man in uniform suddenly knocks on their window. As Cindy rolls it down, she notices another man (Nick Capra) circling the car and gesturing. Before she can say anything, the man orders her and her passenger to step out of the vehicle and follow him inside for some routine questions. Matthew looks up at the man in confusion, while Cindy nervously agrees and opens the door - urging her boyfriend to cooperate.
